Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 27, 2026
- PickIt has no accounts. You never sign up or give us your email.
- Your names, lists, settings and game progress are stored only on your device. We have no server that receives them.
- We use Google Firebase for anonymous usage statistics and crash reports, Google AdMob for ads, and RevenueCat to handle the Premium purchase.
- On iPhone and iPad, analytics and crash reporting run only if you allow tracking. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, ads follow the choices you make in Google's consent form.
This policy explains what information the PickIt mobile app ("PickIt", "the app") handles on iOS and Android, why, and what choices you have. PickIt is published by Hangar Apps ("we", "us"). If you have a question, contact us at [email protected].
1. Information stored only on your device
The following data is saved locally on your device (in the app's private storage) and is not uploaded to us:
- Names and lists you type in (players, wheel options, teams, saved lists)
- Game state and recent results (coin, dice, wheel, team generator, finger picker, truth or dare)
- Preferences such as theme, language, sound, vibration and reminder settings
- Simple counters, for example how many picks you have made, so we know when to show a single App Store / Google Play review prompt
You can delete this data at any time from Settings → Clear Data in the app, or by uninstalling PickIt.
2. Information handled by third-party services
PickIt includes a few services from other companies. They may collect information from your device as described below and in their own privacy policies.
| Service | What it's for | Data it may collect |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase Analytics | Understanding which features are used so we can improve the app | App usage events and screens viewed, app instance ID, device model, OS version, language, approximate country (derived from IP address), and on devices where allowed, the advertising identifier |
| Google Firebase Crashlytics | Finding and fixing crashes | Crash logs and stack traces, device model, OS version, app version, and an installation identifier |
| Google AdMob | Showing banner and full-screen ads in the free version | Advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS with your permission, Android Advertising ID), IP address, device and app information, and ad interactions such as views and taps |
| RevenueCat | Processing and restoring the one-time Premium purchase | A random anonymous user ID, purchase and transaction details (product, date, store receipt), device and app information |
| DiceBear | Creating cartoon avatars in the Team Generator | Each name you type in the Team Generator is sent to api.dicebear.com to create a matching avatar. Like any web server, it also receives your IP address. If you prefer, use nicknames instead of real names. |

3. Payments
PickIt Premium is a one-time purchase that removes ads and unlocks extra features. Payment is handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We and RevenueCat never see your card number or other payment details. We only learn whether a purchase is active so the app can unlock Premium.
4. Tracking, ads and your choices
- iOS App Tracking Transparency: on iPhone and iPad, PickIt asks for permission before any tracking. If you decline, Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics collection is turned off and AdMob shows non-personalized ads without using your IDFA. You can change this any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: before any ads are requested, Google's consent form asks how your data may be used for advertising. You can reopen it any time from Settings → Privacy Options in the app.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. When you do, apps can no longer use it for personalized ads.
- Premium: after you buy Premium, the app no longer shows ads.
5. Device features and permissions
- Notifications (optional): if you turn on reminders, PickIt schedules local notifications on your device, such as a weekly party reminder. No push token is sent to us, and you can turn reminders off in the app or in your device settings.
- Motion sensor: the Dice Roller uses the accelerometer to detect when you shake your phone. Motion data is processed instantly on your device and is never stored or sent anywhere.
- Sound and haptics: PickIt plays sound effects and vibrations. PickIt does not record audio and does not use your microphone, camera, contacts, photos or precise location.
6. Why we process data (legal bases)
Where the EU/UK GDPR or Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) applies, we rely on:
- Your consent for analytics, crash reporting, personalized ads and notifications. You can withdraw it at any time using the controls above.
- Performing our contract with you to provide and restore your Premium purchase.
- Our legitimate interest in keeping the app secure and working, and in showing non-personalized ads.
7. Retention
Data stored on your device stays there until you clear it or uninstall the app. Analytics, crash and advertising data is kept by the providers above for a limited period under their own retention settings, and then deleted or anonymized. Purchase records are kept as long as needed to restore your purchase and meet legal and tax obligations.
8. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, they use recognized safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Children
PickIt is a general-audience party app and is not directed at children under 13, or under the minimum age required in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us and we will help remove it.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR, KVKK, or California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. PickIt does not have accounts, so most data can be removed directly in the app or on your device. For data held by the providers above, email us at [email protected]. Include your device's advertising ID or app instance ID if you can, and we will forward your request. We do not sell your personal information. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will always show the latest version, and important changes will be announced in the app or in the store release notes.
